Ommegang Brewery and Haven are teaming up for a night of boozy deliciousness. La Pachanga is going down August 26, 2014 at 7pm at Haven in South Beach. For $50 per person (exclusive of tax and tip) diners will enjoy four summery courses each with it's carefully selected beer pairing.
Start the night with some Leifman's Fruitesse punch. Then, move along to a Summer Peach Salad with a pecan-mint pesto with a burnt honey vinaigrette. By now you've got a good summertime vibe going and you ease into your next dish, Buttermilk Fried Chicken with brussels coleslaw and sweet pickled melon. No summer is complete without some pork goodness and the third course fills the void with Ale Braised Pork Cheeks with stewed apricots and black garlic. Cap the night off with Milk Chocolate Pot De Crème and cardamom snickerdoodles. Like I previously mentioned, each course will be paired with an Ommegang brew. Some of the brews diners will be enjoying include Abbey Ale, Gnomegang, Hop House and their most popular Three Philosophers.
I've had the pleasure of eating Chef Todd's food on several occasions and I can say without a shadow of the doubt that he is a spectacular chef. Whether its small, fun plates at Haven, gluttonous tacos from Hua Hua's or at the countless charity events he participates in his food is always a winner. If you've never checked out his cooking, this would be a great opportunity to do so.
