OBIES: A Taste Of South Florida Is Back!

It's that time of year again, time to splurge on the OBIES and support several charities all at once. The OBIES features a night of kick ass food from over 30 local restaurants and entertainment and is happening May 29, 2015 at the Broward County Convention Center from 6:00pm to 10:00pm. Some of the participating restaurants include 3030 Ocean, Bulldog Barbeque & Burger, Ms. Cheezious, Kuro, Siena Tavern, Shake Shack, Fork & Balls, American Social, Red Cow, The Oceanaire Seafood Room, Truluck’s, Morton’s, YOLO, Diplomat Prime, SuViche and several more. In addition to serving you their best bites, they'll also be competing to be named THE Flavor of South Florida. Oh, and did I mention I'll be one of the judges deciding who wins?

A group of graduating high school senior student athletes from Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach Counties will receive scholarships and one outstanding South Florida resident will be honored with the 2015 Keith Tribble Community Service Excellence Award for the work he or she does to make a difference. Over the years, the Orange Bowl has been able to invest millions of dollars toward South Florida youth and sports through support of intercollegiate athletics, education, events, organizations and causes, in addition to the tremendous economic impact it provides. At this year’s event, approximately $100,000 will be given back to the South Florida community. Proceeds from The OBIES: A Taste of South Florida presented by Florida Blue will go toward Make-A-Wish Southern Florida, Special Olympics Florida and the Orange Bowl Leadership Academy.

Tickets for this shin-dig ain't cheap, but remember you're donating to THREE different charities all at once. General admission tickets are $85 and my sources tell me that VIP is already sold out, so jump on these tickets while you still can! Get your tickets HERE.
